Countdown To Zulhijjah : Teach Our Children About Hajj

Assalamualaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

We are almost stepping into the month of Zulhijjah 1434 H, the month of "Sacrifice" and the month where Muslims perform Hajj, the month of the largest gathering of Muslims in the world.

Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam. It is obligatory to every Muslim that have the financial and physical ability to perform Hajj at least once in a lifetime. Hajj means travelling for the purpose of visiting the Ka’bah, the sacred House of Allaah, to perform the rites (manaasik), i.e., the actions and words reported in accounts of the Prophet’s Hajj, such as Tawaaf or walking around the Ka’bah seven times, al-Saa’ee or running between the hills of Safaa’ and Marwa seven times, standing at ‘Arafaah, stoning the Jamaraat (stone pillars representing the Shaytaan) at Mina, etc.

To all parents or teacher, grab this oppurtunity to teach your children about Hajj. Here is the list of websites/blogs that you can explore activities/games about Hajj :-

Ramadhan Comes Again!! Alhamdulillah

Assalamualaikum wbt and Salam Ramadhan 1434 H,

Masha Allah, it is that time of year again, RAMADHAN AL-MUBARAK!!
Hopefully, you and your families have a blessed Ramadhan fullest with love, learning and made it the BEST Ramadhan ever!

How about your kids? Did they fast too? If they do, seize this opportunity during fasting month by having a Ramadhan Planner for your kids.

This is the perfect time to teach them!

Your kids can track their progress with various good deeds and obligations that should be practiced in Ramadhan. This will give them a sense of achievement and will help to develop strong habit, not only during fasting month but will last beyond through the rest of the year. Besides, every deeds they did will be rewarded. Allah revealed to us in a hadith by Muslim and Bukhari :

"Every deeds of men will be rewarded as equals, until 700 hundred folds of it. Allah the Noble and Almighty decreed : But fasting, because fasting, is done for Me and I am the One Who will reward it."

What are you waiting for? Grab as many deeds as you can!!

May peace and blessings be upon you..

What is Islamic Fun Science?

Assalamualaikum W.B.T

Islamic Fun Science™ is a program by the Fun Science Sdn. Bhd. for preschoolers aged 3-6 years old. The program contains science lessons integrated with Islamic values to enhance the understanding of nature of studies within Islamic context to the children.

Do you know that one of the best moments to educate our children is during playtime? Islamic Fun Science lessons are hands on and fun. It prepares us with meaningful moments that can bond our relationship with our children and at the same time boost their thoughts and Imaan.

Children are smart. They always have questions for you. Sometimes you find yourself having a hard time to answer their questions. Besides teaching them the facts, you should balance the answers by teaching them the values of Islam.

For example, when your children ask:
“Why is there shadows?”
Your answer should be:
“Because there’s light around. When there’s light, there must be shadow. Shadow may help us to determine our Zuhur and Asr praying time! Allah always help us to perform our ibadah. MashaAllah!”

When your children ask:
“What is inside a balloon?”
Your answer should be:
“There’s air inside it. We cannot see the air, but we know it exists. Just like Allah, we can’t see Him, but we know He exists”

When your children ask:
“Why is the water wet?”
You answer should be:
Because water is a type of liquid. Liquids are wet. Allah made water for us to bathe, to clean ourselves and to make wudhu’. Allah is great”

Children are like sponges, they can absorb and learn whatever they are taught like a champion. Thus, it is important for us to nurture them in the best way to strengthen their knowledge and also their Imaan
